Deciding what work makes the portfolio site is always a tough choice. My professors always stressed the point that less is more but i feel versatility is just as important. With that being said here is a gallery of work i’ve done over the last year that i would love to share with the world.

Editor’s Note
The definition of “remarque” is a small, personalized drawing or symbol that an artist adds (near his or her signature) on a print. It is a personalized touch that adds value and uniqueness to the piece. When creating a name for FAU’s first visual annual publication, Remarque seemed appropriate considering we are leaving our personalized mark with the creation of this magazine and adding value to the University’s visual programs.
The inspiration to create a visual annual came from Coastlines, FAU’s literary magazine. Coastlines has been around for over 40 years so we felt it was only right that the visual programs have their own outlet and ulitmely create their own legacy though a publication. After months of working with student government and the house of representatives we were able to pass a bill that would allocate the funding of 2,500 copies of Remarque to be distributed throughout all FAU campuses.
The most important step in my eyes was promoting Remarque, raising awarness around campus, and encouraging students to submit. Without great work it’d be impossible to have a great magazine. After 3 monthes of promo we had over 500 submissions by 150 students we juried the work down to 150 pieces created by 40 students.
I hope you enjoy Remarque.

Read MoreCD/Digipak packaging design and 4 panel insert for music group Black Violin. Taking on this project was a lot fun. We wanted to create an image and design that was both clean and raw, capturing the essence of the album. Kev and Wil B play the violin likes its never been played before so my vision was to construct the instrument like its never been seen before. Using subwoofers, MPC drum pads, piano keys, and other musical components i wanted this violin to be seen as more than wood and strings. Please check out more from Black Violin at http://www.blackviolin.net/

Original typographical treatment inspired by traditional tattoo letter with a black background to tell that special someone how much you love them, “So Much & Always”.

CD wallet packing created for Hip Hop artist Saheed. The gritty cardboard texture and stenciling perfectly reflects the hard core lyricist. The typographical treatment adds a new twist to the throw back vibe.

The challenge was to re brand a normal run of mill calculator in to a tongue-in-cheek novelty item. The name Calculus Prime is inspired by TV/Movie Transformers while the logo design and packaging borrows from 50’s & 60’s sci-fi and vintage package design. The tongue-in-cheek copy writing is also original and 100% accurate.

This poster was created for a yearly rap battle competition held in the “Ozone” Orlando Florida. The goal was to capture the dismay of a war of words using photo illustration and make it bigger than life using 3D type.

Music for the working man complemented by design for the working man. This 4 panel jewel case is highly stylized with vintage paper scans and diffused type faces to match the gritty image of Real Deal and his lyrics. The pick axe and shovel icon reverberate the them while adding a trendy all over print aesthetic popular in hip hop today.

A playful spin off the nutritional facts label for videographer Hugo “Juice” Gonzalez’s video production portfolio. “Juice” translated in Spanish is “jugo” or Hugo.
